Medellin used to be one of the sleepy towns in the northern part of Cebu province, but lately it become famous after they brand their town as “FUNtastic Medellin.”
How to get there?
Medellin claimed that they are the home of eco-adventure of the north. Visitors may enjoy their zipline fascilities, cable car, and tarzan jum. Eco-adventure is located at Baranggay Caputatan and it operates on weekends and holidays only.
Where to Stay?
This town is also bless with white sand beach which there are variety of beach resorts that you can choose from if you plan to stay overnight.
MercedesVillage and Country Club
Seahorse Tourist Inn
Palm’s Inn Beach Resort
Kawit shoreline in Brgy. Kawit is perfect for adventurous and budget travelers as you set up your tent.
Hide Away Resort\
You may also stay at the Hide Away Resort which is supervised and maintain by Medellin government. It’s located more or less 1 kilometer from the hi-way. They have limited rooms for overnight stay and would cost P700/night. You can bring your own food and stay on the cottages for free.
It was actually an unfortunate travel for me. Eco-adventure was closed which I was not able to try their facilities, encountered road accident on my way to Hide Away Resort and got stranded for like almost an hour. Nevertheless, it was still an unforgettable experience as it taught me lots of life lessons. I would still recommend this town to adventurous travelers and do visit the colorful island of Gitbingil.
