In continuation to my 24 hours trip, the last stop of my travel escapade was in Dumaguete City. The thought of going to Duamaguete right after whale shark watching was brought up when one of my friends ran out of cash. I forgot to remind them that the ATM machine is only available in the town of Moalboal. It’s either she will withdraw money once we get to Car-Car or go to Dumaguete.
At that time, I only have PHP 500 plus less than PHP 20 coins in my purse. My mind and heart were battling whether or not I should go with them in Dumaguete. My mind resist the urge, but my stubborn heart won the fight. At the back of my mind, I told myself that there’s no other chance for me to visit the town not unless I have to planned it ahead of time. I’m not sure when would that be. This is the best time and chance for me to go.
Our ferry boat departed 3 PM from Lilo-an Port in Santander. In 15 minutes, we arrived at the town of Sebulan. More or less 30 minutes travel time from Sebulan, we were all wandering around Dumaguete and decided to visit the famous Silliman University. I wanted to text every body and even Facebook to informed them that finally I’m in Dumaguete! Due to my excitement, I forgot to charged my phone earlier (too bad).
We just took few pictures inside the university town then hailed a tricycle that would take us to the Rizal Boulevard where we planned to eat our lunch/dinner. Unfortunately, Shai forgot the name of the restaurant and its exact location and we end up eating at Among Payag that’s right across Silliman University.
After eating our late lunch and early dinner meal, we then walked our way to the boulevard and took some pictures. Took another tricycle ride that took us back to Sebulan. Around 6:30 PM, our ferry boat departed and I said goodbye to Dumaguete.
