Airbnb invades Philippines

When I went to Baguio earlier this year our group decided to book for a transient house instead of hotel. If only I knew that Airbnb is already available in the Philippines, we could have booked our accommodation through Airbnb.

What is Airbnb?

Basically, it’s an accommodation market where you can book your accommodation and live like a local. You can rent a whole house, a villa, or an extra bedroom space anywhere in the world.

The good thing about booking your accommodation with Airbnb is that you’ll be living like a local. You will get first hand and reliable information on what to do, where to eat, and etc straight from your host.

How it works?

Simply find a place and choose the date that you’re planning to book your accommodation then look for your accommodation that suits your need. It is also advisable that you read the reviews from previous guests. You may message the host directly through Airbnb if you have any questions. Once ready, book the place.

FREE Listing

Airbnb is not only about booking your accommodation; you can also list your extra space at home for free! That’s additional income for you.

Inspiring story of Airbnb

Before JJ Chai – Southeast Asia Country Manager went to Philippines, I am already aware of Airbnb. When I did my first content curation for a local client, I found a video of Airbnb which their founder recalls how Airbnb idea started. You can check out the video below.

JJ Chai is here in the Philippines not only to announce Airbnb to the bloggers but he is also here to spread their inspiring story to the startup scene in the Philippines that I supported.

Good news for Geeks on a Beach registrants as they will get $50 coupon code from Airbnb which is valid in Boracay Island accommodation.

Whether you’re looking for a whole house or single bed to rent, visit Airbnb for cheap and unique accommodations.
