This week’s weekend project feature is at the Dalaguete Beach Park. Sand + Sun + Beach = the formula for the happy place. Dalaguete Beach Park Dalaguete Beach Park is located in Brgy.Casay, Dalaguete Cebu managed by the Tourism Infrastracture & Enteprise Zone Authority. The beach park has white sand beach and strategic location. However, there’s no electricity at night. If you’re planning to stay overnight, make sure that all your gadgets are full battery coz there’s no electricity at the beach. How to get there? Ride a bus going to the municipality of Dalaguete and instruct the driver to drop you off at the corner going to Dalaguete Beach Park. You have the option to walk all the way to the beach park just like what we did or hire a tricycle. Rates An entrance fee of Php20 for daytime use from 7am – 5pm. From 5pm onwards, entrance fee will cost you Php500. Tables and chairs as well as cottages are available for rent but we prefer to set up a picnic at the shoreline. Expenses
|Bus fare (round trip)||P191|
|Dinner (bought at the public market)||P200|
It’s quiet a good place to relax and enjoy the beach. And we’ve witnessed a beautiful sunset but too bad we we’re not able to capture it. On the other hand, the locals are so friendly. Every time we bumped into them, they would say “mayong gabii” (good evening). So, don’t hesitate to say hello or answer them back. Till next weekend project then! XOXO
UPDATE: A local commented on my post in Facebook and informed me about the Casay Reef. It’s a protected area 30 meters away from the shoreline of Dalaguete Beach Park. The said reef is perfect for free diving.
